Laser Eye Surgery
I needed new glasses as they were pretty badly scratched and very slightly under prescribed. I only needed glasses for long distance so never needed them inside apart from when watching television. Instead of getting new glasses I decided to go for Laser Eye Surgery with Wavefront technology.
My vision has improved considerably for long distance roughly on par with my glasses but all sight including long distance still has an element of non sharpness especially noticeable at close up distances for instance writing this post all the letters are soft and slightly blurry.
My left eye is healing faster than my right eye and has considerably sharper vision but still not near perfect. My prescription before the Lasik was roughly -1.5. I have been to the optometrist 3 days in a row and I am going in today again to see the surgeon about smoothing out the surface of the right eye. The optometrist assures me all this is perfectly normal but I haven't noticed any significant improvement in my eye sight since waking up on the morning after surgery. She said my left eye had better than normal vision right now but thats only from reading charts and when everything is slightly blurry/hazy but you can read charts who cares? It is far from the quality of vision I had with glasses looking at the same chart.
Anyone got any experience of this? If so post in comments.
UPDATE
It seems I have small wrinkles on my right hand eye which is a complication that sometimes occurs after flap replacement. I have been given drops to hopefully deal with it and have another appointment in 1 weeks time to see if there is an improvement. If not I think there are procedures that can be taken to smooth the wrinkles. Anyone with any experiences with Laser Eye Surgery post in comments.
