Touney Report
Main event was a wash out unfortunately, I only lasted around 3 hours and was out when I went all in with top pair vs 2nd pair. He spiked 2 pair on the turn :( I went to play cash game later and won around 3500 Euros. Neary all of it coming from a Royal Flush with JDTD in the hole vs Stuart Nash's AK =)!
The 300 Euro event was yesterday with over 300 runners. I managed to get to the final table of this which made up for the disappointment of the main event. I did a semi dodgy deal with 7 players left netting 11,000 Euros which was the 2nd highest payout for the deal and was higher than 3rd place money. However, the shortest stacks got too good of a deal and I would have done it differently in retrospect if I'd had more time to think it through. The chip leader with double my chip stack was an Irish player I knew pretty well from Pokerstars called Jayla but unfortunately I did not know this at the final table and only found out afterwards. We both agreed if we had known we would have played it out for longer and not done the deal. Either way, everyone went away happy especially the short stacks =)
The 150 Euro with rebuys is tonight and I will be letting rip during the rebuy period I think. Hopefully I can get a decent sized stack for once early on.
(UPDATE - We are flying back today, I got far in the 150 Euro event, getting knocked out in 12th spot with an ok chip stack. Someone raised in late position to 12,000 and I reraised all in after lots of thinking from the small blind with AA. He finally called and turned over KJo. The flop came QT9 and that was that. Really brutal way to go out after seeing AA only once over the 4 days. When I went to bed, Tony Chessa, Rory Matthews and Christopher Welsh were at the final table with only seven left. A good result for Scotland I'm sure in the end.)

This is us with two tables to go, I am on the far left of the table in the black and white stripy shirt.

Deep in thought! Jayla is in the the grey hoody opposite me.

More thinking!

nice report.... gratz =)
I would hate to have been sitting next to you in the 150 rebuy...
Please keep it to yourself if you are going to be "letting rip" in the future. Thanks
Lol. I didn't let it rip anyway. Some Netherlander went nuts with rebuys and I just had to wait for him =)
