Tournaments are Geg =)

I decided I will let Sunday be online multi table tourney day.

I entered the £120 at Cryptologic network, the $530 at Ultimatebet, the $215 at Pokerstars, the $215 at Partypoker and the $110 + rebuys at Ladbrokes. I crashed out of everyone within 1 hour apart from the Partypoker one where I managed to get in the money - $279 for 340th... WOOT!

Nice result! Maybe next week... or the week after..... or the week after.. or the....

not like I deserve to critisize you (which I'm really not) but I've obsed 10/20 NL on stars and I can't see your style being as effective at tournaments. I had one table open where you got blinded out of > $200.

Thats assuming you play the same way in tournaments which is probably not entirely true

I have both Harrington books. Pretty good books actually.

Crashing out of 4 tournaments in an hour might suggest otherwise if you are suggesting I might be playing too tightttttttttttt!

Or it might suggest that your vast experience in tight/solid play leaves you with a lack of intuition on how to play aggressive in tournament play.

Either way, lots of respect to you as a starcraft/warcraft/poker/whatever the hell you do next player.

Or we could just agree it suggests nothing period other than a very likely result. 1 cash, 4 losses sounds around about or a bit above average for 5 deep field tournaments. =)

Tiller only plays AA - anything else is chobo, therefore if he gets AA a lot in tournament he will win all money. Thanks bye.

(i was the first poster about harrington on hold'em)

yeah, they're really good. i've got both super systems, both harrington on hold'em, phil gordon's LGB, the theory of poker and the tao of poker. do you think there are any must-reads/really good books i should get?

wow it was just 5 tournaments people...you need hundreds of tournaments to even be able to begin to look at results and gauge skill. And to say, "you play tight in cash games so you must not know how to play tournys" is pretty laughable.

This blog is awesome since it's a place where people who play .50/$1 beginner tables come to criticize tiller's play in anything from cash games to when he posts a hand example. It's good to know stupidity is still the internet's currency.
