Brutal Punishment
More stuff on the ZeeJustin affair, now he has had his accounts at Pokerstars closed down and money confiscated for further cheating that went on there. Presumably the same deal as at Partypoker =(

Hi folks -
We did our own review of ZeeJustin and unfortunately, found that he'd been playing multiple accounts in several tournaments at PokerStars.
* We confiscated the money that he won illicitly.
* We closed his accounts and banned him from PokerStars.
* We are returning the money he won illicitly to players who were harmed by his actions in those same tournaments.
Obviously, we don't like doing this, but the evidence was incontrovertible. We will do whatever it takes to keep our games and tournaments clean.
Best regards,
Lee Jones

Pretty sick punishment if you ask me but not sure what else could be done apart from this, at least they didn't confiscate everything. It was the risk he was willing to take I guess and he clearly is not alone in this multiple account crap so hopefully it is not just him who is punished.

That sucks that all his funds have been raped, but also he can no longer play at the the two biggest poker websites in the world.
Karma... omfg
He made another post in the monster thread:
Hi folks -
As regards ZeeJustin...
1. He had a single extra PokerStars account which he rarely used.
2. His big tournament win on PokerStars was legitimate (we checked it carefully). The amount of money that we ascribed to illicit play was relatively small (less than $5K), and we confiscated that entire amount. We permitted him to cash out the balance over that.
Now, this thread was about ZeeJustin, so that's what I discussed. As regards the larger issue...
We have tools to check and are constantly improving them. It is true that a higher priority for us was catching colluders in ring games and in tournaments and less so on catching players who used more than one account to try to avoid data miners or use mutiple entries in tournaments without colluding.
But I promise you that it's already gotten a lot harder to multi-account successfully on PokerStars, and is going to become more so.
We have investigations underway that are not Party-induced, and we'll continue to be proactive about locating and punishing cheaters. In these two cases, we followed Party's lead because the initial reports of cheating went to Party.
Remember, we have a full-time staff of people who do nothing but catch colluders (who may be one person operating two mice). These collusion catchers have been doing their job for years. Many of you have received credits from us when you were an unknowing victim of collusion. We just don't post them on 2+2.
In summary, we are working hard to maintain our site’s integrity, and now see how we can do better. We're on it right now.

Lee Jones
