Last day of month Anomaly
Yet again I lose on the very last day of the month. Such a dampener to lose in your final session every frigging month. You start every new month psychologically damaged =)
I know its meaningless, after all its just one big game but still these things piss me off =)
6 months in a row I have lost on the final day, that is not at all likely. In fact, I worked out it wasn't at all likely with the help of some people on my IRC channel (Kleptic, Geeves, Spammy).
I lose about 25% of sessions on average.
Chances of losing 6 sessions in a row, in this case the 6 sessions that comprise the final day of the last 6 months is :-
1/4^6 which is equal to 4095-1.
Lol? The anomaly ends way back in March and Febuary and January continue it. So one last day of the month this year I have actually won.
Someone suggested that there might be other factors like I try too hard on the final day to win and push things too hard but I don't believe that to be the case, certainly not today.
I am not looking for answers, just sharing the bullshit =)

It could also be about selective choosing of the days. Say that you would loose every 10th day you would probably think there was something wrong too. You could of course loose every tuesday or the first day in the month. There are so many combinations of these that you are bound to find a pattern somewhere.

I think it's a little thing of what akka said, and also a little bit of you playing differently because you detected the pattern (wich makes it even more likely for it to reocur)
