God damn I miss the few exciting weeks I just had. It was my first time starting to play real money poker online. I got this idea from this blog.
I deposited 25$ at Pacific Poker and I got that 25% sign up bonus of uber 7$, 32$ total. That lasted about 2 days. At maximum my bankroll had 80.20$ but soon I lost it all due playing too many hands and serious tilting. I mostly played low limit games of 10 people.
At the same day I deposited the rest of my money, 59$, at Interpoker, the monthly bonus got me good. There I played 11-13 days about 9-14h a day.
At Interpoker I played a lot of low limit and pot limit and I had 150$ plus the bonus of 59$, over 200$ in all. I was so happy, but getting too confident. I changed to play No Limit 0.10/0.15 and I started losing money. First I played really carefully and did okay. Soon I just got annoyed how some people just wan 50$ in 15 minutes that made me to get this really bad idea of playing more bold. I lost nearly everything in 2 hours and I was really confused. I took a long break and started analysing certain hands and strategies a lot. My worst bad beat was great, I lost 50$ in one pot. I don't remember the cards too well anymore, but the thing that amazed me was that there was this guy which just called me through the game, I had a flush with an ace and there were a pair on the board, I just kept raising against that guy until at his last turn, he thought long time and I was waiting if he really had anything, he checked and my turn came by, I raised 5$ and thought he would fold, but no... he raised 35$, all he had and I freaked out, nononono...it can't be. NO! Still I called him and I turned into statue as I saw that he had a full house, which he already had at the Turn. This guy was amazing. Gave away his last turn with such a hand, in hopes of getting me into his trap and I swallowed the bait. What a fisherman! Fuck him. :P
Well at the very bottom I had about 6 dollars where I made it into nice 50$. I decided to withdraw the money , 'cos I remembered the games were easier at Pacific Poker.
And this time I got greatest bad luck ever. I played the best poker I could play until I had only 3.17$, from there my luck changed and I made it nice 20$, I played at low limited tables and would have done great, but I changed to play pot limit where this one maniac into my left played very sad looking poker, raising almost every other game with no hand at all. Well I just waited for playable cards until I got two fours and the flop came, with a 3rd 4, the other cards were 7 and 9, rainbow colored flop. I decided not to bet not just yet and waited for the maniac's funny raisings, I called them and raised at the turn, he raised even more, I called that and thought about it a little while, the others had just folded. I decided not to raise at the river and I checked, the maniac raised and I reraised him. I was all in, he wasn't. (rich bastard) He called instantly and we showed our cards, I had three of kind fours, he had three of kind nines, since the flop like me!!!
That was my last game where I lost my last 20$ or so. I learned new things, which I have overlooked. For example getting to know the playing style of others and their adaptation skills. It's also important to keep eye on the screen watching how other people play or they turn every weakness I have against me. Another thing is to detect that some people play few extra hands, losing for just showing "look how bad I am" and prevail in the next good hands they get.
I dropped my school, I live at home with my mother, searching work I still haven't got. Now the poker is everything to me and I have no money to keep playing, and I still have 3 months total free time and which I could use for that purely. In January the 9th I am going to army that lasts 6months. Funny, I have birthday at the same date, I'll be 20.
So all I'm chasing is some money for starters right now. I'm really serious about becoming a good poker player and I have read a few books about poker that I downloaded illegally as some companies in the industry keep calling that. :P (I'm really sorry for the poor companies for dowloading those books)
So if you feel any pity for me, you possible could send a dollar or two for starters, beliave or not, but I'm really that poor. My email address japo@rovaniemelainen.com. In exhange I let the donator know anything he/she wants know about me and how I'm doing with the bankroll
I'm quite desperate. :D
And no I don't really have any source of income or supporters at the moment. Mother doesn't let me have any! :)
One thing more, if I get a real big amount to start playing poker with. Some sort of a friendship wouldn't be far.(If you ever could like a guy from Finland)I really would like to do the same for other beginners after getting myself up there, making my living by playing poker.
Thanks for the torrent links.
To the guy above:
You obviously arent organised enough, you couldnt even remember the hand you lost $50 in.
Hello Jovial. Here's a suggestion: go fuck yourself. Just kidding. Seriously though, get your own blog?!

And what a fine blog it is. :)
Good luck with poker, and your chosen method of acquiring the required capital.

jovial, I'm from finland as well and from experience I can say that all you really need to do is deposit $25 to $50 to pokerstars or similar site with very low limit tables and start grinding. Start with limit and work your way up and you'll be just fine. Study the game (don't just try to find experience).
I started out with $6, and a few weeks back built up another roll from $3.5 so it's all just the matter of will and patience.
I'd love to advertize my blog here but i won't.

The 7-card stud tournie was fun to watch ;P Still getting the NL hold'em one.
