WSOP Circuit Event 3

The World Series of Poker Circuit event 3 has just been released on torrent. I'm downloading it now!

ESPN coverage has always been my favorite poker coverage preferred over even the World Poker Tour shows. I think it has a better atmosphere and for some reason which I should be embarrassed to admit, I actually laugh at Norman Chads commentary =)

The circuit events aren't as exciting to watch as the real series coverage but they are pretty good nonetheless.

Well, I watched it just there and thing of note I guess is that it features Phralad Friedman aka Spirit Rock/Mahatma considered the greatest No Limit Internet player in the world. They don't talk about that much though, just give him a little interview where he of all things starts to rap about poker.... no kidding!

There is 0% luck in poker in the long run as there would have been in ROC if you could have got into the long run. Unfortunately that was impossible since the results that defined you as good or bad were always taken from the short term. Anyway, my complaints and stuff were only ever to improve the game and make it as balanced as possible which Blizzard and most people agreed with anyway.

Unless your a magician you cant say that poker is random. You have no idea what cards are distributed, sometimes they use 3-4 decks. Unarguably its pure luck, w/ a small margin of skill on when u place bets.

A basic understanding of poker would lead you to believe this. However, if youve ever read anything by a poker professional on how to play, its incredibly complex (calculating your opponents possible hands, odd's of winning, pot-odds and other stuff)

Also, looking for tell's and working out how each player on your table is playing (not as dominant in online play as it is in live play, but still an aspect.)

You are thinking of blackjack son =)

Poker is only played with 1 deck. All forms of it!

Yup. Poker is luck. That's why players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein, Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, and Dan Harrington are all millionaires. Luckiest guys in Vegas. Any individual hand has an element of luck; thus, someone that calls an all-in raise with 89 does have a statistical chance of cracking aces. But in the long run, someone that consistintely calls all-ins with 89 when up against an overpair (or calls all-ins with 89 in general) will lose their ass, and not because of luck.
