I'm not sure about Internet Texas Hold em. I believe I got it for free via FPP at pokerstars. Maybe someone else can advise you that has read it. Probably for a real beginner though.

I do use Pokertracker. Not intensively or anything. Some people even use it to overlay poker clients to tell them in real time players looseness/tightness/aggressiveness etc...

That would be pretty useful low down where there is a high turnover of players. Not much use high up though.

Ace on the River is real disappointing =(

Lots of glossy photos and a little bit of hand analysis near the end but I was expecting much much more.

The problem with poker books is that the subject matter is usually fairly limited. Two hole cards, 5 community cards and some variables. There's not really all that many interesting concepts worth exploring in depth, so most books just rehash the basics. Not exactly enough to fill a library with. The majority of poker books seem to be written with the sole intent of cashing in on the author's fame. Obviously nothing wrong with that, but they're clearly stretching to fill some pages. Lots and lots of filler. Best books I've read are Tao of Poker and Zen of Poker. Worst book would have to be Hellmuth's. It's a serious jopke. I hope he lost money on it. A lot of money.

Only book I recommend that you don't have is "Inside the Poker Mind" by John Feeney. Good book.

i just read "quit work, play poker, and sleep til noon" by john fox.

it's out of print, and about 5-card draw.

but it's 300+ pages in like 10 point font chock full of psychological ploys.

A good bit on tells/stuff only useful in casino, but one of the most well thought out analytical poker books out there.

I think it is only out of print/never discussed because it is obsecenely sexist/racist.

by far the best poker book no one has heard of. check it out.

You should pick up positively fifth street by James Mcmanus.

Fasicinating tale of a writer who goes to Las Vegas to cover the WSOP in 2000, buys into a 4K satelite and ends up at the final table!
